Included in the
Richard Avedon sub-album is a
NEW Junior Bazaar Magazine 1945-1948 mini-album.
Junior Bazaar had been a section for teenage girls inside of
Harper's Bazaar magazine. From
1945 through
1948, it was published as a separate magazine.
Carmel Snow was the editor-in-chief of both
Harper's Bazaar and
Junior Bazaar. However, according to the October 29, 1945 Life magazine article, the average age of the
Junior Bazaar staff was 21.
Richard Avedon was just 22 years old when he photographed fashion layouts in the first issue!Here is the
