In 1993, Elizabeth Taylor collaborated with Avon on a line of costume jewelry, and I was the lucky art director for the launch of this business. We photographed five jewelry collections on Miss Taylor; one of them was the "Egyptian Style Collection", based on her famous role. For a beauty art director of my generation, getting to art direct Elizabeth Taylor as Cleopatra—revisited after 30 years— was a wild dream of an assignment. One of the "Cleopatra" photos was used as the cover of the November 1993 Good Housekeeping magazine. I've put some scans in the "Members Add Photos" album.
