Edie Segewick was a very attractive girl. She was tall and very sender and had an aristocratic bearing. She was also very into drugs in a time when everyone was doing them, at least everyone around Andy Warhol. She was not really a model. She was a "personalty" who modeled a bit because of her great face and figure. Her story is a tragic one. It is a shame she had to die so young. Here is a link to a story about her written by someone who knew her:

the Factory Girl movie is about her life- she was a close friend of Bob Dylan and Andy Warhol- I read she was too involved into drugs to be a real supermodel.
Perhaps it is true. I did not know her but i was around New York at that tme. One read about her in the newspapers, and saw her pictures. She was a celebrity. She was very photogenic and came from an interesting family. Some say she was already fragile. It was such a heady time, it went by so quickly and some of the brightest stars burned out quickly. Edie Sedgwick was one.
Another great light in the modeling world was Donyale Luna. I will work on a feature about these two personalities.
