In the 1920's, Patsy Pulitzer's parents were among the first to establish the town of Palm Beach, Florida.
While Patsy and her brother Peter enjoyed the accustomed lifestyle of the wealthy families of the time, the siblings also endured tragedy as children, when their beloved mother died from TB.
Patsy married Lewis Preston, a banker, and later after his death, she established the "Preston Education Fund for Girls".
Her modeling career lasted about ten years, beginning in the early fifties to about the early sixties. She was a versatile model, appearing in high fashion ads as well as ads for household products, etc.
Patsy Shally, known as "The girl with the big eyes" was a staple of magazine editorials and ads throughout the fifties; she captured the gamin look so popular during the mid-fifties and was a favorite of McCall's magazine, appearing on several covers.
