The movie The Sandpiper starring Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton and Eva Marie Saint premiered in June 1965. It was filmed around the scenic coastline of Big Sur, California:



In the May 1965 Bazaar magazine, Saks Fifth Avenue ran a 6-page ad featuring the Lynn Stuart Sandpiper Collection modeled by Colleen Corby:
