1959 DAVID KING'
s career started in London at the age of fifteen as an apprentice hairdresser at Eric of Baker Street.
In 1967 he started work at Michaeljohn, a top salon in Mayfair, Two years later Harry became creative director, inventing haircuts, wash and wear, natural,the Lion's Mane.
He began giving demonstrations around the country, heading
a Michaeljohn team for hair shows. A shoot with Norman Eales for Queen magazine puts him on the map.
He began working on photo shoots with David Bailey, Clive Arrowsmith, Norman Parkinson, Barry Lategan, all top photographers.
Moving to New York 1973 working at Cinandre on 57th st he decided on a change of name, HARRY KING
1974 Harry's First studio job, a cover of Glamour magazine.
He then began working with legendary photographers, Penn, Avedon, Scavullo, Chris Von Waggenheim, Norman Parkinson, Snowden, Terence Donavon, Gordon Parks,Bill King, Arthur Elgort, Albert Watson, Deborah Turbeville. David LaChapelle, Annie Liebovitz ..... many more
