Can anyone tell me when Wendy Hill stopped modeling? The gallery (at the main website) shows her from 1962 to 1967, but I think I'm seeing her in my catalog collection as late as 1977. It's hard for me to tell because her face was fuller in the Sixties.
An album for Ingenue magazine, first published by Dell Publishing, has been added to Bonnie's 60s Album. The album covers the first decade--from the first issue in 1959, to December 1969. This album is incomplete, but I am adding more as I go along.
Grace Jones was a bigger than life American model who took Paris by storm in 1973. If you knew her as I did, as a twenty something preacher's daughter, just off the plane from New York, who knew no fear, but had a few thing to learn; you would be amazed at the transformations and evolution her image and talent.
We met at the offices of Euro Planning, a new agency that was standing up to Paris Planning and Elite. The name was later changed to Prestige to compete with Johnny Casablanca's agency Elite. We both were living in a...

By the mid 1950's, African-American models were making cautiously optimistic inroads into mainstream print ads and television commercials. Dorothea Towles is generally credited with being the first successful Black high fashion mannequin, having appeared on the runways of Paris.

I always looked forward to the August issue of Seventeen magazine...The Biggest Fashion Issue Ever! This oversized magazine was full of the latest fall styles in both the editorial pages and the ads.
In these pages from the August 1960 Seventeen magazine, we can see how fashions - and teenage girls - have changed over the last 50 years:
Hi everyone! So happy to see that the site has continued. I get to relive my youth here, ! I could NEVER have imagined anything like this when I was a teenager in the late 60's, being able to see, once again, all the great photos and models who had such an influence on me. Thank you models! Anyhoo, the 1969 Helena Rubenstein photo in Cybil's album, the blonde in the black dress, is NOT Cybil. I have been meaning to post about this for months, as I have a photo of this model on the cover of TEEN magazine from the late 60's, but no mention is made of her name anywhere in the issue. I will...
An album has been made for Gail Fisher, the actress best known for her co-starring role on TV's Mannix, the long-running detective series which aired from 1967-75.

Soon after, she moved to NYC and began studying acting with famed acting coach, Lee Strasberg. She soon began acting on Broadway, appearing in several theater productions--including...

This multi-page Celanese ad from the November 1966 Seventeen magazine was a take-off on British rock stars being pursued by their female fans in The Great Autograph Chase. Stephani Cook (Jenny) and Sue Murray wear mod Datesetter minidresses as they follow Campbelle Camp and Chick Noodle through European discos:
In the 1960s, the Beatles had a major influence on popular culture...and not just in the area of music. Teenage boys and girls around the world copied their trademark mop top hair style. Beatle Hairdos & Setting Patterns was published by Dell in 1964, the same year the Beatles invaded America. A new album has been created in the 60s Ad Campaigns Album: Hair Care Album for pages from this rare magazine:
Fashions and hair styles inspired by Carnaby Street in London were highlighted in the August 1966 Seventeen magazine. Carmen Schiavone photographed the fashions, and Rik van Glintenkamp photographed the hair styles:
